Southern Girls Challenge - Three or more Pattern Papers

Hello,

Today, I am sharing a card using the digital stamp “Teddy with flower” provided by our sponsor The Paper Shelter. This time the challenge in all about using three or more pattern papers. So here is my take on it…

As I did not want to color the stamp this time, I have used the paper layering technique to give three dimensional effect to the teddy and flower. Here is the process video and request you to please subscribe to my channel.

If you are wondering about the different layers, here in the picture:

I have linked below all the supplies used. Please do comment if you have any questions and Thank you for taking out time to visit my blog and for watching the video.

Happy Crafting…

Southern Girls Challenge - Stitching

Hello,

This is my first post as DT of Southern Girls Challenge Blog. I am really excited to join the team as this will really make me, take out some crafting time for myself.

For this card I have colored a super cute digi image Delivery Bonnet by A day for Daisies.

I used Copic markers to color the image and then used scan n cut for cutting the image.

For creating the scene I took a piece of Neenah Solar White Cardstock measuring 3 3/4″ X 5″. I used the MFT Radiating Rays stencil, Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and Fossilized Amber to create the background. For the subtle background I did use the Clarity Stencil Brushes. I had tried experimenting with the blending sponge earlier, but did not like the strong blend.

Once I created the top part of the scene, I then used Copic Markers for creating the grass.

I then adhered the image on to the background using some 3D Foam Squares. Once done, I then stamped the sentiment onto the Vellum using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Next I matted the background piece onto a red card stock measuring 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″.

I then cut out another piece of white cardstock using the biggest die from Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle stackables die set as the basic theme of the challenge is Stitching. I matted the red card stock on this.

Finally I took a red color top folding card base measuring 4 3/8″ X 11 2/8″, scored it in the centre and stuck my finished piece. Hope you all like the card.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand, please do take part in the challenge.

Thank you for visiting my blog and Happy Crafting..

MFT Friends Furever

Hello Everyone,

Its been long since I have written a post., so here I am sharing my card using MFT Friends Forever Stamp and Die Set.

The ready card measures 8 3/4″ X 5″. An unusual size, but I had to increase the size for proper placement of the flop circles.

Here is the rough draft I drew, before proceeding with the card.

I measured and found the diameter of the flop circle to be 2 3/4″, the length of the card was calculated by adding 1/4″+ 2 3/4″ + 2 3/4″ + 2 3/4″ + 1/4″ = 8 3/4″

Then I took two sheets of Neenah Solar White Cardstock measuring 8 3/4″ X 7 1/2″ and 8 3/4″ X 7″.

I started creating the base of the card by scoring the first sheet at 1 1/2″ , 3″, 5 1/2″ and then 7″. Please note a small section of 1/2″ will be left. We will use this to attach the second sheet. Now the second sheet to be scored at 2 1/2″ and 4″.

After scoring, I stuck both the sheets together to form the base of the card. I then went on to place the Dienamics Flop Card – Circle die on the base to create the flop elements. Here is a rough sketch of the how I placed the die.

I then matted the base with some pattern papers keeping in mind the MFT Color Challenge

I have also used Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched STAX – Circle dies.

I had colored my images using Copic Sketch Markers and then stuck the same using some foam tape to give extra dimensions. The markers I have used are:

Bear : E47, E44, E43, E41

Dog: C5, C3, C1, C0

In the end I stamped sentiments from the same set and also one from MFT Because You stamp set.

Hope you all like my card, please do share your views in the comments below.

Monster Love.....

Hello again,

I know I just wrote a post yesterday, I am really excited to share this one. I have used MFT Monster Love stamp with coordinating die set and MFT Die-namics Diagonal Sentiment Strip Cover-up Die.

I wanted to use this stamp and die set forever…

1

The only challenge for me while I was making this card was to get crisp/clear stamped images. As these stamps are solid clear stamps, I took some time to prep them.

This particular video by Joanna Munster (Inspired by Stamping : https://joannamunster.com) I always refer to…

Hope this post could be of some help…

Using Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst

Hello Crafters,

I know its been long since I wrote a blog post. Actually I made these cards a month back, but did not have the time to write a post. So here I am now. I have made background of these cards using Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst Pigment Powders. Believe me this product is amazing… no two backgrounds can be identical.

2

Here is the video I referred to for learning how to use Color Burst and it was a cake walk. I loved the way the pigments moved and merged. I used Color Burst Brights set and Canson XL Watercolor Paper for preparing the background of my cards.

I have used MFT Dienamics Peek-a-Boo Polka Dots die to cut the prepared backgrounds.

After preparing the background, I used MFT Dienamics Stitched Rectangle Frames for cutting the two frames from two different shades of pink card stocks.

I then took my plain white card base, measured it (leaving the width of the pink frame) and covered it fully with Stick it adhesive sheet and stuck the Polka dotted die-cut on it. I used the following video by Jennifer McGuire as an inspiration. I also used Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter Diamond to finish the base of my card.

Once the base was completed, I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum. For this I used Ranger Superfine White Embossing powder and MFT Becuase You stamp.

Hope you all like my cards and please do leave your valuable comments.

Happy Crafting..
